Walter’s Way

Walter Scherr is a career businessman who was instrumental at the beginning of the tech boom in the 1980s. 

Challenge

Time-sensitive website development to be designed and, launched in time for the book release party.

Solution

Using the WordPress CMS framework, we designed the main website using three sliders for the big messages, followed by a variety of sections on the home page that summarised more detailed pages buried within the site.

Moreover, we felt it would serve their visitors better if we provided in-depth information about Walter's book and by default, his life. So we added quotes by famous people about him, including (Senator Schumer), and actor Aidan Quinn,  and highlighted that he was selected to TAA/TAW’s 2016 Top Thought Leaders list. The awards program, now in its sixth year, celebrates professionals who are transforming the way organizations do business.

The website also integrated a photo gallery, various videos, a social media drawer on the left side of the site, and an eCommerce component. 

Results

The website was developed over 4 weeks and launched. We continue to host the site in memory of the author.
